While panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean may distract, the focus here is on the culinary adventure to unfold. Trained in Michelin-starred restaurants around the world, Chef Jonathan Mizukami blends French-influenced cuisine with fresh local flavors.

Beautiful setting with magnificent view of the ocean, while enjoying delicious foods. Loved what they had to offer. It is one great experience that one must try at least once.

The experience you get at Hoku’s is special to this restaurant and this restaurant alone. With an open air kitchen you can see and smell everything. From the moment you walk in, Chef Johnny Phan is front and center rallied by his kitchen staff. With a warm greeting they look at you to greet you as soon as you walk through the large doors of Hoku’s.

We did the breakfast buffet. Great service. Our table attendants were very attentive. The food was really good, especially the omelet station. Cold somen and its fixings were yummy. The beef brisket was tender and tasty. The salad, fruit and dessert bar was amazing.

Love this restaurant so much that I made 2 reservations in a week, to help celebrate the special occasions. Food is excellent, so too the ambience, esp. watching the sunset. Friendly knowledgeable staff. The set menu was well paced out, allowing us to enjoy our meal.

Originally from Camarillo, California, Jordan moved to Lahaina, Hawaiʻi at 19 and has called Honolulu home since 2009. His work, which he calls “Canscapes,” reflects his love for both the natural world and the transformative power of creativity. By repurposing recycled cans and combining them with reclaimed wood, Jordan creates kinetic art that echoes the dynamic beauty of nature. Each piece is a reflection of movement, light, and sound, allowing the viewer to experience an ever-changing visual landscape as the aluminum discs respond to the elements around them.
